A short-term mission trip to serve the Church of Calvary on the reservation from July 24-30, 2009.
This mission term from Hope Presbyterian Church in Cordova, Tennessee will be serving at the San Carlos Apache Reservation.
The Apache Reservation is about 1 1/2 hours east of Phoenix,Arizonia in an area called Gilson Wash. The church we will be working with had been closed for about 5 years before re-opening in the fall of 2008.
The project will be a combination of painting and minor repairs to the church building and community outreach on the reservation to invite folks to church.
Pray for the Pastor Chris Phillips of Church of Calvary and his wife, Sarah.
Pray that the Apache Indians we will be serving will have receptive hearts to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and many will hear and accept Him as Lord and Savior.
Pray for team unity, adaptation to climate and 5600ft ab0ve sea level
of San Carlos area of Arizonia.
Pray for much provision and prayer support for the team from our family in Christ at Hope Church.
Pray that the team will be humbled, see and experience the Lord's leading and power.
God will mightly intervene in hearts of Apache Youth who are hopeless and seek relief through crystal meth, alcohol and violence
